A NEW ERA OF FOOTBALL HAS BEGUN....YOU READY?
| May 30, 2008 marked beginning of a new
era in San Marcos Football. My name is Pulu Poumele and I
am the head football coach. I am excited about the
upcoming football season. I have assembled a staff
that will prove to be the best in San Diego County. For the past 5 years, I was the defensive coordinator at Oceanside High School. The proven program of success was evident as I helped lead that team to be crowned the Division II California State Football Champions last year. That was a first for a San Diego section High School, and I intend to continue this trend here at San Marcos High School. I will bring a winning attitude to this school and start a new era of excellence in our football program. Through hard work, dedication and preparation, my plan is to win a League Championship, continue on to the CIF Playoffs and bring home a CIF Championship for this community and the talented athletes at San Marcos High. You have to set the bar high, and I have. Great athletes are those who are willing to show DEDICATION, REMAIN DISCIPLINED, BE PREPARED AND SHOW GREAT CHARACTER. I expect nothing less from our team and with them exemplifying those disciplines, these goals can and will become a reality. I'm ready....are you?
